Of Art and Life

Visit to Atlanta, to see the "Picasso to Warhol" Exhibit at the High Museum and to tour the SCAD Atl Campus.  I got there early, so I had time to take some pictures before the doors opened.

The exhibit was fantastic. There's something exhilarating about standing feet away from a priceless painting that was once just a blank canvas in front of an unknown painter. The artist spent hours spent hours staring at it, working the shapes and colors to his will. All the little imperfections...brush strokes, fuzzy lines, tiny specks that you don't see in prints are all there. And the same canvas has been all over the world, examined by millions of people. People who don't speak the same language; they only think the same thought. There's something about that feeling that's absolutely wonderful.

The admission sticker on my hip....Haha. I'm such a dork. XD

Later, I visited SCAD Atlanta...I was more impressed by this urban branch than I was with the location in Savannah. The classrooms are a fashion designer's dream. I've also decided I like the atmosphere better. In the city, everything has so much energy. Everything moves faster and there's a myriad of inspiration and ideas.   It's like the city has a heartbeat, and it's constantly moving, constantly changing. It's a lifestyle I love. Maybe next year ALL my pictures will be in this fantastic city. Fingers crossed!

Stay Beautiful,
Ren
